WEB-design peculiarities

It is obvious for a person who has spent enough time in Net that though WEB-design has a graphic constituent in basis, it substantially differs from a print design. It is first of all caused by dynamic quality and interactive of web-page visual image. Almost any WEB-page has hyperlinks, navigation menu and other elements providing transitions between information units.
Interactive (requiring certain actions from user and reacting on them) elements distinguish electronic interfaces from well known book or newspaper. Naturally that at creation of magazine, reader’s actions on turning over the pages, folding down corners or inlaying of book-marks are not taken into account in its design.
In design of Web-page, those elements are the most important. Generally, development of competent arrangement of pages, logical site structure and navigation routes underlie web-design.
For example, navigation panel, must be accessible (for that it is often duplicated above and at the bottom of page), simple in circulation and clear, it also must be compatible with color and geometrical conception of design.
Global net is overfilled with a sterile design. Sites of the Hewlett-Packard companies, IBM, Dell, Microsoft, and many others actually hardly distinguished from each other (they have similar color charts and location of elements). It is possible to say that such monotonousness of interface makes Network of more comfortable for work, but in fact such sites do not leave anything in the memory of the users not able to create the positive contact with the audience.
The simplest way to avoid such a monotonousness is to use colors. Probably non other element of the design does not have such an influence at our perception of the space (website, house) as Color. Colors cam momentary change your mood and opinion. They are able to create a coziness, to load us in the ocean depth of fear or excite us. For the design of interfaces natural colors are especially useful.
Short manual for those, who does not know how to draw cool. the most fashionable thing in design is font. One must use as many as possible fonts in work. It is not important what you write with those fonts, the most important thing is to scatter the separate pieces of text on different corners of picture. It is especially stylish to repeat the same phrase written with the same font but with a slight shift, to make inscriptions to accumulate each other. You should not ask why is it so. Just remember, it is cool.
Not being neither a professional analyst nor marketing specialist, I however I have a right to offer my own opinion on a question, which, as it seems to me, I more or less understand. In this case we will talk about web design or, if you like it more, about creation of sites. Self-made sites for yourself, your company, your lover, or for the Joe fish are out of fashion, thanks God, and people are back to their business (they are to be able to do at least something good), and web design is a privilege of specialists.
So, dear sitebuilders, tell me, how many types of design do you know? And? So, I hear on the right yell hard... Right! What else? flexible... So! And which one is better? Ouch! It is not necessary to yell... Let us find out.
Let us give definitions, to have no disagreements.
Hard design- tabular design, in which the size of every cell either is set in pixels or by the picture or other element, placed in this cell.
Rubber design - tabular design, in which the width of one or a few cells is set in percents from the width of window.
We, like educated people, understand at once that hard design is much easier to develop. All the elements of the fixed width are situated statically one from the other. For those who wants to have more control at the markup of the page, it is better to develop pages with the fixed width which will remain constant for all the users regardless size of monitor or changes of window extents. This approach is based on the principles of creation pages in printing, like keeping one net, relations of the elements situated on the page and convenient length of lines. Like in Magazine! Here I offer you to stop and think for a while what it offers us.

Corporate style

In great deal of web-design deliveries we have already touched upon the topic of work with visual images, and said that product of designer’s work, his basic activity is visual thinking. Let’s remember Einstein’s answer on the question what instruments of cogitative activity he prefers images, words, or symbols? – Einstein said he has never valued words or symbols, he thought in visualizations. And after getting answer in such images, the only thing he had to do was to express answer in words and symbols. We shall talk about visual images in the next deliveries and our today topic is creation of corporative vision of company, and developing firm style.

It can be not so easy to pick up harmonious combinations of colors. It is necessary to depend upon intuition, experience and own taste. Meantime using simple tools, tiresome procedure of selection the palette of colors for the site can be rather simple operation.

Bases of color

Research of color displays in nature is the initial point of theory of color impressions. It means that we should to study the impressions which produce the colored objects on our sight.
 It is symptomatically, that in our time, during the indefinite orientation of artistic schools, it is necessary to dispute about the necessity of studying of nature. Under its study it is necessary to understand not imitative transmission of casual impressions, but first of all, analytical, research working of objective characteristics of forms and color. For such study interpretation of nature is needed, more than its imitation. However to make interpretation corresponded to essence of the phenomena, the exact supervisions and clear thought, which must precede to creation of image, are needed.
Than more clear sense becomes, the more intensified are senses and artistic perception gets used to the logic analysis of supervisions. Students must fight against nature, because its possibilities of influence differ and exceed those drawing tools which we use in the art. Sezann with great interest worked at nature motives. Van Gog was ruined by those fight, trying reproduce his impressions of nature, transforming them in the own system of color and formal picturesqueness.
Every artist due to his gifts  should define  measure of studying nature for himself. However it would be unreasonable to ignore an outer world because of  surplus of our internal world. Nature in its rhythm of seasons directed both inside and outside itself  could be an ideal example for us. In spring and summer, nature forces go outside, reflecting in growth and ripe. And in autumn and winter are back again and brush up for future growth.

Let’s talk about unsmoothed graphic arts

First we have seen an unsmoothed graphic in old games we played in our DOS. Such pictures with small color palette and awkward edges were just called “nonqualitative”. “Nonqualitative, bad game graphic”. It was some kind of verdict. Like: ”Of coarse it is ugliness. But in this case it should be” Those “nonqualitative” graphic has had many advantages. First of all of coarse it was “weight”. Less colors, less kilobyte.
